Sony Alpha A1 full-frame 50,1 Megapixel provides exceptional image quality, Alpha A1 can shoot continuously at up to 30 fps, offering for the first time in the Alpha series fast and accurate phase-detection AF and high-quality 8K movies with 8.6K full-frame oversampling. The camera features an Exmor RS™ full-frame back-illuminated layered CMOS sensor with 50.1 effective megapixels and built-in memory. The high speed from the sensor and large buffer memory allow shooting up to approximately 165 full-frame JPEG images or 155 full-frame compressed RAW images at up to 30 fps with the electronic shutter, while maintaining maximum AF/AE tracking performance. This is a huge advantage for shots where timing is critical.
Despite the sensor’s high pixel count, the backlit structure, uniform chip lens, AR-coated sealed glass, and other original imaging technologies work with the new BIONZ XR image processor to deliver high resolution and low noise in a wide sensitivity range: Standard ISO100 ~ 32,000, expandable to ISO50 ~ 102,400. High-precision stabilization unit, gyroscopic sensors and optimized image stabilization algorithms offer increased shutter speed up to 5.5 steps, optimizing the quality of high-resolution sensor-derived images. The Sony Alpha A1 also features an active mode that offers exceptional stabilization for shooting handheld movies.
For 4K video recording, you can choose between full-frame and Super 35 formats. In Super 35 mode, full-frame pixel readout without pixel binning (APS-C 16:9 approx.) condenses the amount of data required for 4K by about 2.3 times, producing detailed and defined 4K movies with minimal moiré and step effects (jaggies). Bit rates up to 600 Mbps can be used for 4K XAVC HS, XAVC S and XAVC S-I recording.
Optimized menu structure provides easier navigation; responsive touch functionality of the menu provides faster and more intuitive control. All main and function menus are touch. Even more intuitive control with Touch Focus and Touch Tracking. With Touch Tracking enabled, simply touch a subject on the monitor to start real-time tracking for that subject. The Sony Alpha A1 full-frame 50,1 Megapixel supports SDXC/SDHC UHS-I and UHS-II cards, as well as the new CFexpress Type A cards for higher overall capacity and faster read/write speeds.
