The Allen & Heath CQ-20B ultra-compact digital audio mixer 20×8 I/O with Wi-Fi is the mixer with the highest number of channels in the range and is controlled via the free CQ MixPad app. The mixer is an ultra-compact model designed for use via built-in WiFi or connection to a wired or wireless network. The mixer has 96kHz processing, 16 mono input channels and 4 stereo channels that mix to LR, and 6 auxiliary outputs. Local analog inputs use balanced XLR sockets and a minimum of 8 combi sockets (TRS/XLR) and connect to fully digitally controlled preamplifiers. These are capable of providing industry-standard 48 V phantom power. Local analog outputs are provided on XLR sockets with a nominal line output of +4dBu and a maximum output of +22dBu. The mixer also has a reset button to perform a unit reset and provide control for setting up a remote connection.
Allen CQ-20B mixer can automatically detect input level and adjust preamp gain on multiple channels, as well as monitor input level during use and reduce preamp gain to prevent clipping. There is a USB Type-A connector on the surface for stereo recording/playback directly over USB, data transfer, storage and firmware update. CQ-20B has Bluetooth connectivity with easy pairing to third-party devices for high-quality stereo playback of music on a dedicated stereo channel. It also has a built-in power supply that accepts AC mains voltages of 100~240V, 50/60 Hz, 45W max, via a 3-pin grounded IEC male connector mounted on the rear chassis. The recommended operating temperature for is between 5 and 40 degrees Celsius.
