The Sony Alpha A7R V full-frame 62,5 Megapixel camera is the newest generation of the α7R series and continues to be geared toward high image resolutions, ensuring the highest resolution at low-sensitivity settings. The 61.0-million-pixel full-frame 35mm Exmor R™ back-illuminated CMOS image sensor and the new BIONZ XR™ image processor are used to their fullest capacity to ensure outstanding resolution and the finest details. The entire image stabilization system has been upgraded and now incorporates a high-precision stabilization unit, advanced gyroscopes and optimized stabilization algorithms. The stabilization unit precisely detects and corrects camera shake, significantly expanding the range of shooting situations in which reliable stabilization can be achieved. The camera body alone offers 8-step18 stabilization for the first time in the Alpha series. Multi-shot with Pixel Shift takes advantage of the precision control of the built-in image stabilization system to capture up to 16 shots with Pixel Shift to be composed in one second on a computer, creating a single image with incredible resolution. Using the latest version of Imaging Edge Desktop™ software, the 62.5-megapixel Sony Alpha A7RV full-frame camera detects small movements at the pixel level and automatically corrects them. RAW lossless compression ensures high-quality images for your continuous shooting, with a choice of three image formats with lossless compression. The M and S formats have the same number of pixels (26 M/15 M) with full-frame or APS-C mode shots, allowing you to switch seamlessly between full-frame and APS-C viewing angles within the same scene, and vice versa, while maintaining the same image resolution. The tremendous processing power of the new BIONZ XR processor and updated algorithms offer greatly improved AF performance, the result of the huge amount of data generated by the image sensor and the high-coverage, high-density AF system. Up to 693 phase detection points offer coverage of approximately 79% of the image. This larger AF area offers more freedom in framing, for example, for portrait shots. AF-S mode offers high AF accuracy, even at brightness levels as low as EV -4.0 (ISO 100 equivalent, F2.0 lens). With its innovative AI processing unit, the Sony Alpha A7R V full-frame can use real-time AF recognition to accurately identify people’s movement, with improved detection of about 60% of human eyes. In response to the need for ever-increasing capabilities for RAW recording, the α7R V provides RAW output to an external 16-bit recorder via HDMI cable. Full-frame 3848 x 2168 output (with 16:9 aspect ratio) is available in a choice of frame rates. RAW output via HDMI while recording XAVC HS 4K, XAVC S 4K or XAVC S-I 4K to an internal card is also possible. Proxy recording is also available.
