XA elements and spherical aberration control, applied during design and production, are key to achieving the characteristic G Master bokeh, which enhances subjects, particularly when using a shallow depth of field with the maximum aperture of F1.2. In addition, the 11-blade circular aperture ensures smooth and even bokeh.

The 50mm F1.2 offers fast and accurate focusing, even with shallow depth of field, thanks to four XD (Extreme Dynamic) linear motors that provide enough power to move large focus groups quickly. Sony’s advanced E-mount lens technology ensures excellent performance for both photography and video recording.
