The Sennheiser Spectera SEK UHF Wireless Two-way Pocket Microphone Transmitter/IEM Receiver is a professional digital bodypack designed for advanced wireless audio applications, based on the Spectera ecosystem and Wireless Multichannel Audio System (WMAS) technology. This device integrates the functionality of microphone/line transmitter and IEM/IFB receiver in a single unit, enabling simultaneous two-way transmission on a single RF carrier.

It operates in the UHF band with a frequency range of 470-608 MHz to 630-698 MHz, providing high operational flexibility and compatibility with international Broadcast standards. The system uses wideband digital transmission with advanced multiplexing (TDMA/TDD), allowing simultaneous handling of multiple audio and control data streams on the same RF channel. On the audio side, the bodypack features a high-power headphone amplifier with impedance matching (up to 2 × 300 mW RMS into 32 Ω), optimized for use with professional in-ear monitors. The microphone input uses a 3-pin LEMO connector, compatible with lavalier and headset microphones, while the headphone output is on a 3.5 mm TRS jack. The device supports full remote control and monitoring via dedicated software, allowing management of critical parameters such as audio level, RF status, gain and battery life. It also integrates continuous interference management systems and AES-256 encryption for signal security. Energy-wise, it uses a BA 70 lithium-ion rechargeable battery with a range of up to about 7 hours, varying according to the operating mode (unidirectional or bidirectional).

The construction is robust, with compact metal chassis (approximately 83.5 × 62 × 21 mm) and light weight (~178 g with battery), suitable for professional live and Broadcast settings. The “always-on” e-ink Display allows operational information to be displayed even when the device is turned off, improving usability in the field.
