The Sony Alpha 7C II is the full-frame camera that all true content creators have been waiting for. Packed with cutting-edge photo and video capture technologies, it is an indispensable tool for capturing the world the way you want it. Guaranteeing great performance and excellent image quality for photos and video, the 7CII s new 33.0 MP2 Exmor R CMOS sensor offers high readout speed, high sensitivity from ISO 100 to ISO 51.2003, reduced noise, and high-precision color rendition. The advanced BIONZ XR engine has up to 8 times more processing power than its predecessor. It reduces processing latency, increasing processing power in video and photos for natural gradations, realistic colors, minimal noise, superior images, and fast menu response.

Leveraging state-of-the-art processing and an advanced AE algorithm, 7CII detects areas of facial skin and adjusts exposure accordingly in photos and videos. It offers smooth exposure control even in extreme conditions with backlit subjects, in shadows or direct sunlight, or not facing the camera. Take advantage of even more stable shooting for stills with α7C II high-precision stabilization unit, advanced gyro sensors, and optimized stabilization algorithms that effectively correct 7 stops of vibration. Compatible lenses with built-in stabilization and improved synchronization between body and lens simplify framing even at otherwise blurry telephoto lengths. The Alpha 7CII supports 4K shooting at 60p/50p, built-in S-Cinetone for a cinematic look, and Log footage for flexible post-production, all in a remarkably lightweight and compact body compatible with drones or gimbals. The Alpha 7C II captures 4K video at 60p/50p8 with full pixel readout without pixel binning, thanks to the new BIONZ XR processor and wide dynamic range for remarkably smooth images of moving subjects.

7C2 boasts an S-Log3 gamma curve that accentuates details of gradations from shadows to mid-grays (18% gray) to deliver up to over 14 stops of latitude, and S-Gamut3 and S-Gamut3.Cine gamma settings. Apply a custom LUT (Look Up Table) with a Log gamma curve to preview post-production rendition or shoot video with a PP LUT already applied. With the breathing compensation feature enabled, the 7C2 uses Sony’s original Clear Image zoom technology to eliminate focus breathing for even more stable videos. Breathing metadata can also be used with the advanced compensation functions of the new Catalyst Browse/Prepare Plugin software in post-production. Use metadata embedded in footage with Sony Catalyst Browse/Prepare/Prepare Plugin software to speed up post-production. With an innovative processing unit, 7C2 accurately recognizes human movement, improving eye recognition. The posture estimation technology uses a skeleton-based model to recognize not only eyes, but also the body and facial positions with extreme accuracy to detect and follow a subject even when not facing the camera or with the face partially visible. α7C II has a powerful AI processing unit that can recognize people, animals, birds, insects, cars/trains and airplanes. Through AI-based recognition technology, the auto framing function automatically crops the frame in video footage. Even when the camera is mounted on a tripod, the framing is continuously adjusted as if a cameraman were filming. Tracking is also accurate when the camera is controlled remotely via the Creators’ App18 on a smartphone.

The FE 28-60mm F4-5.6 lens combines full-frame image quality with unparalleled compactness and lightness thanks to its mechanical and optical design, retractable structure, and three aspherical elements whose precise shape suppresses various types of image distortion and aberration. Capture subjects of everyday life with flexible focus range. At a minimum focusing distance of only 0.3 m this lens shoots good close-ups of food and flowers. The compact design makes it the ideal tool for everything from table photos to vlogs. With the latest α full-frame cameras, it allows you to target even fast-moving subjects using AF functions such as Real-time Tracking and Real-time Eye AF.
