With advanced AF performance, the FE 70-200mm F2.8 GM OSS II unleashes the potential of modern camera bodies, in stills as well as video. Image quality is superb at any zoom value and focusing distance. Two aspherical elements, including one XA (extreme), preserve resolution at all points. Two Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass elements, two Super ED glass elements and one aspherical ED minimize chromatic aberration. Nano AR Coating II eliminates stray light and ghost images. 1.4x and 2x teleconverters are also available. For spectacular bokeh effects, this G Master, takes advantage of advanced optics, an F2.8 aperture and a new 11-blade diaphragm. Machined with a surface precision of 0.01 µ, the XA element eliminates the onion effect, while the aperture creates more natural-looking circular blurs. With the Sony FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM OSS II – photographic lens, even close-ups are incredible, with a minimum focusing distance of 0.4 meters at 70 mm and 0.82 meters at 200 mm. Sony’s four XD (eXtreme Dynamic) linear motors provide the power to increase AF speed by 4×4 over the previous model. Aperture ring with switchable stops and aperture lock control exposure. The 3 optical stabilization modes ensure sharp shots. Dust and moisture-proof design and fluorine-treated front element lend themselves to any environment.
