Sony Alpha A7C 24.2 MP silver mirrorless camera with FE 28-60 mm f/4-5.6 lens combines the quality and advantages of a full-frame sensor with a particularly stylish and portable design. The Sony A7C offers the hybrid recording capabilities, 24.2 MP Exmor R BSI CMOS sensor and intelligent AF performance expected from an Alpha camera, but in a size suitable for everyday portability.
Featuring a back-illuminated design, the 24.2-megapixel full-frame Exmor R CMOS sensor works with the BIONZ X image processor to deliver high-resolution stills and video while minimising noise and improving speed. This sensor structure works with an on-chip lens design with no gaps and an anti-reflective coating to enhance light gathering and improve detail. In addition, the copper wiring layer greatly improves data transmission speed to create high-resolution 14-bit photos with a native sensitivity range of ISO 100-51200, which can be further expanded to ISO 50-204800.The Sony FE 28-60mm f/4-5.6 lens is a long normal wide-angle zoom lens characterised by its retractable design and sleek profile. Its slim design makes this lens ideal for everyday shooting, while its flexible focal length range suits a wide range of subjects, from street shots to portraits to travel photography.
Three aspherical elements help reduce spherical aberrations and distortion throughout the zoom range for improved sharpness and accurate rendition. The use of specialised elements also contributes to a smaller and lighter physical design. The linear motor, together with the internal focusing mechanism, promotes fast, accurate and silent focusing, suitable for both stills and video applications. In addition to the variety offered by the 28-60 mm focal length range, this lens also has a versatile minimum focusing distance of 11.8″, allowing it to work with close subjects. The rounded seven-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality.
