High quality shooting with fast AF
The Fast Hybrid AF system combines phase detection and contrast detection, providing fast and accurate autofocus, ideal for 4K video. Phase detection in the focal plane provides greater stability, while contrast detection improves focus accuracy. This system ensures smooth transitions and continuous tracking, keeping focus stable even when an object crosses the frame.
Tracking
Eye AF for humans and animals
Real Time Eye AF enables continuous eye tracking during moving portraits, with the ability to prioritize the right or left eye. The system can maintain focus even in difficult conditions, such as when the face is partially covered, backlit or facing downward. Thanks to Sony’s advanced algorithms, eye detection has also been extended to animals, ensuring perfectly in-focus shots of pets or wildlife.
Image quality
Excellent performance in low light
Thanks to an advanced noise reduction system, this camera provides cleaner images even in low-light conditions, where higher sensitivity is required. Native ISO sensitivity goes up to 32,000, extendable to 51,200 for stills shots, with noise reduction particularly effective in the mid-to-high sensitivity ranges, ideal for everyday use. The APS-C sensor, with copper wiring and optimized circuit architecture, improves efficiency in light management. In combination with the advanced image processor, this enables superior resolution and natural textures, even in difficult lighting situations.
Video
4K video shooting and advanced features
The camera supports 4K video shooting with full pixel readout, which processes about 2.4 times more information than required for the 4K format (QFHD: 3840 x 2160), ensuring videos rich in detail, depth and realism. The Touch Tracking function enables smooth, continuous focusing of the subject, which can be activated by simply touching the display. In addition, slow motion (up to 5x) and quick motion (up to 60x) video can be recorded directly from the camera, with no post-processing required. For high-quality audio, the camera is equipped with an external microphone jack, ideal for professional filming and vlogs.
