Libec LX-ePed 2 Studio electric pedestal with dolly for PTZ cameras is an electric PTZ camera pedestal and is used in all types of PTZ shooting in the broadcast and production sectors. To better meet the growing demand for PTZ cameras and related accessories, LX-ePed is now revamped as LX-ePed 2 and LX-ePed 2 Studio with new and exciting features. These new models now include position presets and support IP connectivity and serial communications when combined with the new optional multiprotocol converter “MPC-1.” With “MPC-1,” LX-ePed 2 and LX-ePed 2 Studio can be managed by PTZ controllers and the original PC application, LX-ePed PC APP, which offers a number of optional settings.
The included “AP-X” smart quick-release adapter enables much safer, easier and faster camera docking/undocking. To prevent the attached PTZ camera from falling, the adapter has a hole to attach a PTZ camera safety cable. Using the optional multi-protocol converter “MPC-1,” the new LX-ePed 2 and LX-ePed 2 Studio can be managed by PTZ controllers and the original PC application, LX-ePed PC APP, which enables precise adjustments. This unique feature definitely increases the accessibility of the electric pedestal, making the “MPC-1” a unique product.
The LX-ePed 2 remote control adds the elevation element to the pan, tilt and zoom functions of the PTZ camera. This provides more “angles of view” and makes it easier to adjust settings. The original column mechanism minimizes oscillation and twisting in the up and down movements of the pedestal. In addition, the column is mechanically controlled with precision to provide seamless start and stop movements, which makes these electric pedestals very suitable for “on shot” scenes.
