Specifications
Irix Cine 15mm T2.6 with Sony E-mount – lens with metric scale in meters consists of the highest quality lenses. The entire structure consists of 15 elements arranged in 11 groups (3 HR, 2 ED and 2 ASP lenses). The precise construction of the lens ensures incredible optical properties and image sharpness, vivid colors, and an almost complete absence of distortion, an extremely rare property for lenses of this magnitude. The aperture of the lens consists of 9 rounded blades, which ensure pleasant background blurring and smooth T-value adjustment from T2.6 to T22. In addition, the breathing of the lens has been minimized. The Irix Cine 15mm T2.6 is equipped with a 180-degree bezel that allows accurate rotation and quiet, precise focusing. Markings on the lenses are available in metric and imperial versions, which means users are not forced to change their habits.
An innovative solution used in all Irix Cine lenses is the adaptive ring, which increases the overall ergonomics of the lens, both during manual focusing and when using follow-focus mechanisms. The Irix Cine 15mm is also small and lightweight. All Irix Cine lenses are of approximate size and weight, allowing for quick and smooth changes of settings without having to change the rest of the film set. The lens has a magnetic mounting system (MMS), which allows accessories such as lens hoods (included in the kit) to be attached.
The solid and durable construction of the Irix Cine 15 mm ensures work in any environment. The lens is sealed at 4 key points, which allows it to work regardless of weather conditions, rain, sand and dust. The engraved markings on the lens have been filled with paint that reacts to UV light, thanks to which shooting in difficult lighting conditions becomes much easier. In addition, the lens allows the use of filters, so that working in bright environments becomes much easier. Irix Cine 15mm was designed according to the standards of the professional film industry, being the result of traditional and modern solutions. Irix Cine 15mm has a 95mm front filter and Mod 0.8 rings, ensuring compatibility with most accessories available on the market. Irix 15mm T2.6 Cine meets the needs of all filmmakers. No matter if you are fond of building professional setups or prefer to shoot run-and-gun, this lens is for you. Thanks to its aluminum-magnesium alloy construction, the lens weighs only 1 kg.
