The Canon PTZ CR-N500 1″ 4K UHD CMOS sensor camera with FULL Auto Tracking enables efficient remote control with minimal crew. This professional model, with 15x optical zoom and satin black design, is perfect for documentaries, events, streaming, reality shows and digital productions. With its 1-inch sensor and DIGIC DV6 processor, it ensures high-quality images, with features such as face-tracking, scene mode, 20x digital zoom, and recording up to 4K UHD.
The CR-N500 supports the NDI|HX protocol without additional licenses, enabling easy integration into existing NDI networks. It has dual XLR and mini-jack audio inputs, HDMI and 3G-SDI outputs, and operates on PoE+ power. Other advanced features include genlock support, Canon Log 3, built-in ND filters, and smooth and precise pan, tilt, and zoom movements with speeds from 0.2 to 300° per second.
Remote control is possible via IP, RS-422, IR or Wi-Fi, with compatibility for the Canon RC-IP100 controller or the free Windows software application. The software allows management of up to 100 cameras simultaneously, with live 9×9 viewing, custom configurations and counting functions, making the CR-N500 a flexible and professional solution for high-end multi-camera productions.

Canon PTZ cameras feature high image quality, thanks to the 1″ 4K CMOS sensors found on many models in the range. These sensors ensure sharp and detailed images even in changing lighting conditions. In addition, integration with Canon’s DIGIC DV6 image processors provides accurate colour reproduction, along with excellent performance in low-light environments. Support for output formats such as 4K UHD and Full HD enables a wide range of video production requirements.
Versatile connectivity and remote control
Canon’s CR-N PTZ cameras are compatible with major broadcast protocols such as NDI|HX, RTMP and RTSP, which facilitates integration with existing streaming infrastructures. This makes them suitable for live events, live broadcasts and remote monitoring. The cameras can be controlled via various methods, including Canon hardware controllers, dedicated software and even mobile devices, allowing users to operate the camera from anywhere with a network connection. In addition, PoE+ (Power over Ethernet) functionality reduces the number of cables needed for installation, simplifying infrastructure and management.

The Auto Tracking Full function of the Canon PTZ CR-N cameras offers an advanced auto tracking system that allows moving subjects to be tracked within the scene with extreme precision. This technology uses intelligent algorithms to keep the main subject always centred in the frame, regardless of its speed or direction of movement. With this feature, workflows become more efficient, especially when shooting live or in environments where the subject is constantly moving, ensuring professional video quality without interruption.
