Canon CR-N500B PTZ camera with CMOS 1″ 4K UHD sensor – Black is a professional solution for multi-camera productions, events, documentaries, streaming, and digital filmmaking. It features a 1″ CMOS sensor, Dual Pixel AF, DIGIC DV6 processor, 15x optical and 20x digital zoom, recording up to 4K UHD. Key features include face tracking, scene modes, Canon Log 3, built-in ND filters, and XLR/3.5mm audio inputs.
It supports NDI|HX without requiring a separate license, enabling easy integration into existing NDI networks. Remote control is available via IP, RS-422, Wi-Fi, or IR, with HDMI and 3G-SDI video outputs. PTZ movement is smooth and precise (0.2–300°/sec), and PoE+ power allows simplified installation. Compatible with the Canon RC-IP100 controller or free Windows software, it supports control of up to 100 cameras, 9×9 live previews, remote configuration, and full audio/video management.

Sharp and detailed images
Canon PTZ cameras feature high image quality, thanks to the 1″ 4K CMOS sensors found on many models in the range. These sensors ensure sharp and detailed images even in changing lighting conditions. In addition, integration with Canon’s DIGIC DV6 image processors provides accurate colour reproduction, along with excellent performance in low-light environments. Support for output formats such as 4K UHD and Full HD enables a wide range of video production requirements.
Versatile connectivity and remote control
Canon’s CR-N PTZ cameras are compatible with major broadcast protocols such as NDI|HX, RTMP and RTSP, which facilitates integration with existing streaming infrastructures. This makes them suitable for live events, live broadcasts and remote monitoring. The cameras can be controlled via various methods, including Canon hardware controllers, dedicated software and even mobile devices, allowing users to operate the camera from anywhere with a network connection. In addition, PoE+ (Power over Ethernet) functionality reduces the number of cables needed for installation, simplifying infrastructure and management.
Advanced PTZ control and powerful zoom
The advanced PTZ capability allows smooth and precise control of panning, tilting and zooming. This is particularly useful in dynamic environments such as TV studios, places of worship or corporate events, where it is necessary to follow moving subjects without sacrificing image quality. Many Canon CR-N models feature powerful optical zooms, ranging from 15x to 20x, and can be configured for pre-programmed or manually controlled movements to capture any desired angle. Image stabilisation helps to keep stable shots even at high zoom levels.
