Canon CR-N500W PTZ camera with CMOS 1″ 4K UHD sensor – White you can control remotely with a minimal operating crew. Canon’s professional 4K NDI PTZ camera with 15x zoom, in satin black, fits perfectly into your documentary, event, streaming, reality show or digital cinema production shoot. The CR-N500W is designed to fit into an existing multi-camera shoot, combining colour depth and visual appearance with its professional sensor and features to simplify camera matching in post-production and colour correction.
The CR-N500W offers many of the assets of a high-resolution Canon camera or camcorder, such as a 1-inch dual-pixel CMOS sensor, Canon’s DIG!C DV6 image processor, scene modes, face-tracking, 15x zoom, 20x digital zoom, dual XLR / 3.5mm microphone inputs and video recording up to UHD 4K. The camera also includes NDI|HX support without requiring a separate licence, allowing the camera to be incorporated into the existing NDI network with minimal configuration. Other features of the N500 professional camera include genlock support, Canon Log 3 support and built-in ND filters with transparent, 1/4, 1/16 and 1/64 options.
The PTZ camera differs from Canon camcorders in remote options, such as control via IP, RS-422 serial, IR or Wi-Fi, and HDMI or 3G-SDI video output. It is capable of smooth and accurate pan, tilt and zoom movements at a speed of between 0.2 and 300° per second. Microphone-level audio can be input via two XLR inputs or a 3.5 mm mini-jack and then incorporated into the HDMI and 3G-SDI outputs, the NDI|HX stream or the RTP/RTMP/RTSP streaming output.
The camera can also be powered via PoE+ (Power-over-Ethernet) using its LAN port, so it can plug into the existing PoE+ network without having to use local power to save cabling. The camera supports a wide dynamic range, a minimum brightness of 1.5 lux and a 35 mm equivalent focal length lens from 25.5 to 382.5 mm. The camera can use an external controller via RS-422 or Canon’s proprietary XC IP protocol over a secure private LAN, using the optional RC-IP100 PTZ controller. If you prefer to use Canon’s camera control software, the free downloadable application can work with the Windows operating system, so you can control all camera functions from a laptop or tablet. The software offers a 9×9 live view, control of up to 100 cameras, loading and configuration of settings and counting functions.
