Mobility is ensured by the compact design that fits both full-frame and APS-C bodies. Aspherical elements compensate for aberrations, ensuring high resolution from corner to corner of the image even at wide aperture and shallow depth of field.
The ED glass element eliminates chromatic aberration and effectively reduces halos that often occur at the edges of the image. The lens features a 7-bladed circular aperture, with precise control of spherical aberration affecting bokeh.
The ultra-compact and lightweight design, high image quality of Sony FE 50mm F2.5 G Sony E-mount aperture ring and MF linear response ensure intuitive operation that makes shooting enjoyable. The metal (aluminum) finish of the lens body and lens hood, as well as the engraved focal length and aperture markings, emphasize excellent build quality.
