The Sony ECM-W2BT wireless microphone with Bluetooth connectivity has an omnidirectional design optimized to detect human voices from any angle. ECM-W2BT features an internal capsule that detects sounds clearly and crisply for high-quality audio. The microphone effectively eliminates external noise. The omnidirectional microphone picks up audio from all directions. Use the clip to place the microphone close to the speaker’s mouth, without having to worry about the orientation of the device. When ECM-W2BT is used with a compatible camera that supports Digital Audio Interface, the sound detected by the receiver is transmitted via a digital signal, enabling recording without cables and with reduced noise. The windproof system included in ECM-W2BT effectively reduces wind noise and excessive breath noise. This means you can record crisp, stable sound even when filming outdoors on windy days. The unit’s sophisticated attenuator function allows you to record loud audio sources or amplify quieter sounds, easily optimizing recording levels depending on the circumstances. The audio stream is transmitted between the microphone and receiver using the Qualcomm aptX Low Latency Bluetooth codec to ensure low latency and avoid loss of audio quality during transmission. You can record wirelessly for up to nine hours using ECM-W2BT with a camera that supports power via Multi Interface Shoe. When used with compatible cameras, the microphone battery has a battery life of nine hours and the receiver even longer. The receiver’s battery life is up to three hours2 when paired with cameras that do not support power via Multi Interface Shoe. For compatible cameras, see the link below. Stable wireless performance provides optimal connectivity and reduces the risk of interrupted audio flow even in crowded environments with high wireless activity. Up to 200 m in locations with good visibility. With its dust and moisture resistant design, ECM-W2BT can be used in any environment. ECM-W2BT incorporates weatherproof seals and covers for reliable outdoor operation. The microphone is easily expandable via the 3.5 mm stereo mini-jack on the transmitter to provide a clearer, more realistic audio track. You can capture crisp stereo sounds to make your vlog more flexible and engaging by connecting the ECM-LV1 lavalier microphone (sold separately) to the transmitter unit.
