The 9 rounded diaphragm blades help achieve excellent bokeh performance, with soft, creamy blurred backgrounds. The 9 diaphragm blades also provide clearly defined “sun stars” when the diaphragm is closed. Weather protection is located around the lens mount area to prevent infiltration of moisture and/or rain drops. This feature provides an extra layer of protection when shooting outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
