Filters help to reduce dust and moisture from reaching your lens element and provide additional protection in case of drops or situations where scratching could occur.
A multi-layered coating has been applied to the Polaroid 82mm UV filter substrate in order to help reduce surface reflections and maintain neutral colors and light transmission for greater image clarity. The filter ring is constructed from aluminum alloy to provide high rigidity as well as resistance against expansion or contraction due to temperature variances.
