Polaroid Corporation is an American company best known for its instant film and cameras. Founded in 1937 by Edwin H. Land, initially it produces polarizing plastic film used in the production of plastic sunglasses. Starting from 1948 Polaroid also produces instant self-developing film cameras. The first camera is the Model 95. The Polaroid SX70, marketed since 1972, confirms the success of instant color photography.
