PDMovie Remote Air Pro 3 follow focus with single motor wireless and a knob that integrates focus, zoom and iris control. The knob has a wireless range of 100 m and supports 19 wireless channels, allowing the cleanest signal path to be found even when using multiple motors in a FIZ (focus, iris, zoom) configuration. The receiver motor is equipped with a wireless antenna and power port. In addition it has a cinema-style gear with 0.8 MOD and can drive the focus, iris or zoom on one lens. If more than one lens ring needs to be driven, an additional motor is required, but it is possible to use one without the wireless receiver, as the motors can be cascaded. The calibration procedure has been simplified and it is possible to calibrate lenses with or without stops. The controller and receiver motor are equipped with a Bluetooth module. An i0S iPhone application controls the lens, the lens data and sets automatic lens movements up to a distance of 10m.
The 75 mm diameter controller is effective when using the palm of the hand to focus or when wearing gloves. With four 1/4″ screws, it can be easily attached to the included handle or mounted on any handgrip, monitor or arm and is compatible with RED and ARRI and LANC control of camera run/stop.
The grip incorporates a focus controller, zoom rocker and iris rocker, allowing up to three axes to be controlled simultaneously with the correct number of motors. In addition, it has a built-in LED light and phosphorescent marking discs that allow customised markings to be seen even in low-light situations.
The used, replaceable 600 mAh battery supports hot-plugging and has a battery life of 12 hours.
The Remote Air Pro 3 is equipped with an all-in-one multi-function button that allows quick setting of the signal channel, control, motor speed and remote recording.
The handle incorporates nine 1/4″-20 mounting holes that allow for mounting accessories such as a mobile device, monitor, wireless receiver and lanyard. The handle is made of high-strength aluminium alloy and durable rubber. If you wish to use the focus controller in wired mode, simply connect the 6-pin motor drive cable.
OLED screens on the motor and knob provide clear status information such as signal, power and battery information.
The Remote Air Pro 3’s motor is 0.67″ thick and 8192 DPI, giving the motor greater precision. In addition, it supports an input voltage of 7 to 20 V, so it can be used with a 7.2 V power supply. You can calibrate the lens manually or automatically, adjust the speed, change the motor direction, cancel and recover the calibration.
