SmallRig Cage 4183 for FX3/FX30 is designed to protect the camera and provide mounting points for accessories. The modular cage consists of a NATO rail and a U-shaped cage. The NATO rail is attached on top by two 1/4″-20 screws and removed to allow installation of the original XLR top handle; the U-shaped cage is attached by 1/4″-20 screws on both sides and at the bottom to prevent twisting, with a cushion against scratches. There is a hinge arm on the battery door that fits around the curve of the camera for a better pinky grip experience. A dedicated HDMI cable clamp protects the interfaces to ensure stable signal transmission.
Among the various accessory mounts, the 1/4″-20 holes support Magic Arm 2070, the 3/8″-16 ARRI positioning holes connect the 2165C top handle or 2903B monitor mount, the top NATO rail supports the 3322 top handle, and the left NATO rail supports the 2187B side handle.
The 1/4″-20 positioning holes in the upper left quarter and left side connect the 3598 rod clamp to track focus; two 1/4″-20 holes on the right side allow secure mounting on a quick-release plate for vertical shooting; the cold shoe mount supports microphone, LED light; and the QD port at the bottom fits the QD strap. An Arca-Swiss quick release plate at the bottom can directly connect DJI RS 2 / RSC 2 / RS 3 / RS 3 Pro or quick release plate (pad to increase height) for DJI RS 2 / RSC 2 gimbal and Arca 3154 type quick release plate. Both sides and bottom have holes for wrist strap 3848 and shoulder strap PSC2428 . Also included is a magnetic wrench for easy assembly and disassembly.
