Specifications

The Allen & Heath DM48 MixRack audio expander 48×24 I/O for dLive systems features a distributed system design with separate MixRack and Surface. The dLive processing brain is housed in the MixRack. The MixRacks and DM48 Surfaces are mix’n match compatible, with common configuration, setup and show files. The MixRacks also contain the same processing engine, pioneered by Allen & Heath’s R&D team with next-generation FPGA technology. The 96k/96bit XCVI core is capable of handling 128 inputs with full processing and 16 dedicated stereo FX returns, offering 160 inputs to mix, as well as a fully configurable 64 mix bus architecture, with full processing on all 64 mix channels. dLive incorporates the DEEP processing portfolio of integrated plugins, including graphic EQs, compressors, multi-band compressors and dynamic EQs, as well as 16-slot FX racks, with Allen & Heath’s acclaimed range of FX emulations.

The Allen & Heath DM48 MixRack is the heart of any dLive system. It houses the XCVI processing core complete with audio I/O ports, control and audio networking. It is typically connected to a dLive Surface, but can also be controlled simultaneously or even without a Surface using a laptop or iPad, Allen & Heath IP remotes or third-party controllers via TCP/IP. It has 48 mic/line inputs, 24 line outputs and an XCVI 160 × 64 FPGA core.It also features variable bit depth for maximum precision and noise performance.
