Sony Distagon T * FE 35 mm F1.4 ZA – Photographic lens is an excellent choice for snapshots and landscapes, facilitating tripod-less shooting in dimly lit interiors and night scenes. The shallow depth of field at wider apertures and the 9-blade circular aperture design enhance smooth background blurring effects for portraits or wedding photos. Furthermore, there is a whole range of images that can only be realised with a wide F1.4 aperture. With an extremely short focusing distance of 30 cm, the lens is ideal for taking pictures of flowers and similar subjects.
Sony’s Advanced Aspherical Lens (AA) precision technology and ZEISS T* coating contribute to the excellent optical performance to ensure optimal resolution throughout the frame.
The F1.4 maximum aperture enables sharp images even in low light, while the 9-blade circular aperture enhances the lens’ ability to achieve beautiful background blurring effects.
The DDSSM (Direct Drive SSM) motor positions the heavy full-frame focus group quickly and noise-free, with optimum results even at shallow depth-of-fields – ideal for both movies and stills.
On the aperture ring you can activate ‘click’ adjustment for more sensitive tactile feedback as you shoot, or you can opt for smooth and quiet operation.
