The 42.4 MP Sony Alpha 7R III Full-frame 35mm camera has an Exmor R full-frame 35 mm CMOS image sensor and boasts 42.4 megapixel resolution, backlight and gapless chip lens design for extraordinary sensitivity and dynamic range with anti-reflective coating. Optimized image processing results the Sony A7R III in reduced noise and extended dynamic range over a wide ISO sensitivity range of up to 32,000 (standard ISO, expandable to ISO 50-102,400 for stills). In addition, detail reproduction and noise reduction in specific optimized areas enable noise reduction by about one stop at medium ISO settings. Skin tone reproduction has also been significantly improved-a very useful feature of the 42.4 MP Sony A7R3 Full-frame 35mm camera for capturing portraits. The A7RIII camera’s advanced image processing system and AF algorithms optimized for the α7R III improve speed, accuracy and autofocus tracking performance.
The 399 phase-detection AF points and 425 contrast-detection AF points ensure perfect, high-density coverage over a wide image area. With even more accurate Eye AF, twice as fast AF speed, and doubled AF tracking performance, you can easily get portraits of a moving subject using AF-C even during continuous shooting. With its new shutter unit and optimized processing system, the 42.4 MP Full-frame 35mm Sony Alpha 7R III supports continuous shooting at up to 10 fps21 with AF/AE tracking to easily achieve stable images even with the most dynamic subjects. The 3″ LCD touch display with 2,350,000 dots makes focusing more immediate and intuitive. Ideal for a wide range of HDR film production applications, the α7R III supports S-Log3 and S-Log2 gamma curves plus One touch remote control turns your smartphone or tablet into a viewfinder/remote control.
