Specifications

With a native resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, a high contrast ratio of 1500:1 and a maximum brightness of 400 cd/m2, the Eizo ColorEdge CG2420 24.1″ monitor IPS for graphics – 94ppi, offers superior visual quality and extremely realistic sharpness: graphic elements and photos are displayed with absolute precision, contours are distinct and accurate. The panel with IPS (Wide Gamut) technology offers a wide viewing angle of 178° and optimal visibility.

The monitor offers a wide color gamut with the ability to cover 98% of the DCI-P3 color space for authentic and defined rendering, with strong black levels and similarly supports the Rec. 2020 standard. In addition, the CG2420 covers 99% of the Adobe RGB color space. RAW images can be converted to AdobeRGB format and returned absolutely consistently. Even for printing, the Eizo ColorEdge CG2420 24.1″ monitor – 94ppi offers significant advantages and covers almost the entire CMYK color space (such as, e.g., ISO Coated and U.S. Web Coated). This allows on-screen verification of the printing outcome, saving valuable time and additional costs for any color proofing. The CG2420’s innovative True Black technology allows it to maintain highly contrasted dark tones even in dark environments by returning extremely saturated and intense colors. The CG series is specially equipped with a so-called Retardation Film that enables maximum intensity viewing of black levels even from extremely angled positions, without loss of quality.

The built-in sensor ensures the highest possible color accuracy. Perfectly harmonized with the monitor it appropriately detects environmental influences, such as lighting, correlating the parameters at the center and sides with those of the entire display area in order to achieve uniform and consistent rendering across the entire screen. The calibration probe is integrated into the cabinet frame and is placed on the screen only in the calibration stages. This helps to reduce laborious setup processes. The ColorNavigator software or the OnScreen menu allow you to set the monitor’s calibration interval according to your needs. This is done automatically, without user intervention. In this way you can activate calibration at will, even at night and without having to connect your PC.

Good image processing is only possible on well-calibrated monitors. Normal software calibration is time-consuming and the user must have a certain level of technical expertise. The Variable unbekannt comes with ColorNavigator hardware calibration software. With ColorNavigator, she can perform the calibration quickly, easily and with excellent color accuracy: During calibration, the software directly accesses and saves the lookup table in the monitor hardware. You determine relevant components such as white balance, gamma, brightness and tonal value curve according to your needs. Calibration is performed automatically based on the default values set during production and is therefore unique in terms of accuracy and speed. This also means that calibration can be performed by users in just a few steps, without the need for extensive technical knowledge. Since calibration is done through the monitor hardware, it is performed losslessly and independently of the computer and graphics card. Variable unbekannt can also be seamlessly integrated into an existing system.

The Eizo ColorEdge CG2420 24.1″ monitor – 94ppi color table (Look-Up-Table) handles a 16-bit color depth and is capable of returning billions of colors. This greatly increases the number of colors to make use of while preventing any posterization or scaling effects (banding), alterations and loss of information in non-reproducible dark tones (clipping) or highly saturated areas. ColorEdge monitors are set up and ready to use immediately after startup. Every single Eizo ColorEdge CG2420 monitor 24.1″ IPS for graphics, is meticulously preset at the factory and the tonal curves of red, green and blue meticulously adjusted and adjusted. This unique calibration by EIZO allows the user to resort to the monitor’s preconfigured color spaces as soon as they take it out of the box. And thanks to the optimal factory setting, periodic calibrations prove to be extremely quick. Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE) technology adjusts and neutralizes fluctuations in brightness and color, ensuring uniform colors that are stable over time and provides the color matching essential for processing, correcting and editing images in post-production. The CG2420 is equipped with an Application-Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) that has been specifically designed and prepared by EIZO for digital color workflows. This circuit is the “brain” of every ColorEdge monitor that provides consistency, uniformity and viewing stability and ensures the quality excellence that is the hallmark of EIZO products. Ideal for photography, image editing and retouching, video editing, post-production and color grading, design, creation and illustration, printing and fine art printing.
