What’s more, it offers the dynamic range and color science of digital cameras to handle the most adverse lighting conditions and produce film-quality images. The 4K sensor with ISO up to 25600 allows for excellent low-light performance, even in dimly lit environments. Equipped with a 7″ LCD touchscreen display, the camera also includes the DaVinci Resolve color corrector, supporting HDR monitoring and the application of 3D LUTs.
The micro 4/3 mount allows the use of affordable photographic lenses, while remote control via Zoom and Focus Demand enables easy adjustments without vibrations. The camera is compatible with ATEM switchers for seamless integration into live production systems, with advanced features like talkback and tally. Its lightweight, rugged carbon fiber design makes the Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Plus G2 perfect for live productions and varied locations.
Compact design and HDR display
The Blackmagic Studio Camera has a compact and robust design, perfect for professional video production. It features a large 7″ high resolution screen and offers status indicators, histogram and focus peaking. Pro models feature a bright HDR display, ideal for outdoor use. The tally light illuminates in different colours to indicate shooting status, simplifying set-up and monitoring.
Advanced sensors and fifth-generation colour technology
The Blackmagic Studio Camera uses advanced sensors and fifth-generation colour technology to deliver cinema-quality images, surpassing broadcast cameras. With a built-in DaVinci Resolve colour corrector, it features 13 stops of dynamic range and resolutions up to 6144 x 3456. It supports the Blackmagic RAW format, ensuring high quality and small file sizes, ideal for editing. In addition, the intuitive operating system allows quick access to functions and settings.
Effective communications
The Blackmagic Studio Camera offers SDI connections with built-in talkback, enabling effective communication with the switcher operator. Compatible with standard and professional headsets, the camera supports numerous connections, including HDMI and 12G-SDI. Pro models feature 10GBASE-T Ethernet connectivity, simplifying set-up by carrying video and power over a single cable. In addition, the USB-C port allows recording in Blackmagic RAW and the connection of various accessories.
Power supply options
There are various options for powering the Blackmagic Studio Cameras. All models have a DC 12V connector with a locking mechanism to prevent the cable from disconnecting, and include a power supply with 5 AC adapters for different countries. By connecting an Ethernet cable to Blackmagic Studio Camera Pro models, you can power both the camera and accessories. The Blackmagic Studio Converter provides a remarkable power supply that, thanks to PoE technology, eliminates the need to connect the camera to the power supply – ideal if your location doesn’t have one!
