The Blackmagic Streaming Encoder HD is a professional all-in-one encoder designed for high quality live streaming from broadcast workflows, ideal for TV stations, live events, conferences and web productions. Using the H.264 and H.265 hardware codec, the device supports streaming over SRT and RTMP protocols directly to platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, and Teams, while maintaining stability and high performance.
Professional connectivity includes a 12G-SDI input and loop-out, along with an SDI and HDMI output for monitoring. A 2.2″ LCD display shows video feeds, audio levels, bitrate and connection status. The front panel with 6 buttons and a rotary knob allows intuitive control even without an external GUI. The encoder supports resolution up to 1080p60, and is powered by either 100-240 V AC or 12 VDC XLR. Flexible network connections include 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports and USB-C, also useful for streaming via tethering with 4G/5G smartphones, ensuring continuity even if the main network goes down.
Software support includes the Blackmagic Streaming Utility for remote configuration via USB or network, compatible with Windows and macOS, with no need for dedicated PCs.Compact and easy to integrate, the encoder has a 1U/Teranex mini rack format and a power consumption of only 25 W, fitting perfectly into broadcast racks.
