Designed for the challenges of large live productions and advanced television studios, the Blackmagic ATEM 4 M/E Constellation IP marks a revolution in Broadcast video routing. Abandoning the limitations of traditional cabling in favor of the SMPTE 2110 IP standard, this flagship-class Switcher leverages powerful network connections for handling uncompressed video streams. It offers four complete mix/effects banks, 16 high-precision ATEM Advanced Chroma Keyers, a powerful SuperSource processor, and multiple DVEs for complex picture-in-picture effects. Its immense processing capabilities ensure zero visual latency, making it the ideal core for mobile directorates and top-notch multi-camera distribution systems.

Transition to the IP standard

Blackmagic ATEM 4 M/E Constellation IP is designed around the SMPTE 2110 standard, allowing transmission of uncompressed video, audio and data over a single Ethernet network. This eliminates the complexity of traditional SDI routers, simplifying cabling and providing scalable, ultra-high reliability video routing for large studios.

16 Advanced Chroma Keyer

Ideal for virtual stage design, the system integrates sixteen powerful chroma keying processors distributed over the four M/E banks. These advanced tools offer precision controls for image sampling, edge management and foreground color correction, ensuring realistic overlays and perfect drilling keys in real time.

Integrated SuperSource Processing

In addition to the standard DVEs, Blackmagic ATEM 4 M/E Constellation IP includes the unique SuperSource processor, which adds four additional DVE channels and a background layer totally independently. This allows the construction of complex multi-window (picture-in-picture) shots for interviews with multiple guests, freeing up the resources of the main M/E desks for other creative operations.
