The blackmagic ATEM 1 M/E Constellation HD switcher with 10 3G-SDI inputs is a high-definition live production switcher packed with advanced features. The M/E effects bank design includes 10 standard-converting 3G-SDI inputs and 6 independent 3G-SDI aux outputs. It also offers USB webcam output, DVE, colour keys, media player, multiview and more. In addition, the switcher has a multiview output with up to 16 routable windows that can display inputs, keyed video, graphics and stills from the media pool, as well as programme output. Each input connects to an integrated Fairlight audio mixer that supports up to 28 audio channels. The switcher has a reference video input and each input is equipped with a frame synchroniser, frame rate converter and format converter. This makes it possible to combine cameras, formats, non-genlocked cameras and video input from computer sources. Upstream and downstream keyers and effects are supported. All this is done live and in real time, with no rendering required. The switcher can be controlled using the built-in front panel, optional Blackmagic ATEM panels or downloadable control software. With 10 multi-rate 3G-SDI input connections, the ATEM Constellation HD is compatible with all types of HD video sources. Equipment can be connected in all HD television standards, including 720p, 1080i and 1080p formats. Only 3G-SDI multi-rate allows you to switch between HD formats, so you can instantly adapt to the needs of the work being done anywhere in the world. The SDI inputs also handle embedded audio and the audio mix of all video inputs. In addition, the programme outputs include talkback, tally and camera control information.
