The Allen & Heath dLive C3500 128-channel digital audio mixer has 24 movable faders, each with 6 levels accessed by dedicated buttons. All fader strips are configurable as input channels, mixes, FX sends, FX returns, DCA masters or MIDI strips. Each fader strip has a PAFL, Mix, Select, and Mute button with indicators, 10-segment multi-point meter, 4-segment gain reduction meter, rotary encoder, and colorful LCD display with name, mode, status, and level indication. 7 buttons with indicators provide global mode for rotary controls of Gain, Pan, Mandate and up to 4 custom functions.
 
Send levels to mixes are adjustable via faders. Two 12″ capacitive touchscreens will be provided to access channel processing, meters, FX, I/O, scene management, configuration, utilities and diagnostics. The 4-band PEQ has dedicated physical controls. In addition, physical controls are user assignable, including 6 rotary encoders arranged in 3 levels and 19 user-defined controls. Dedicated keys are provided for quick copy/paste/reset of mixes and processing parameters, pre/post and mix assignments, scene safes, GEP and PEQ. pre/post and mix, scene safety, GEQ fader flip, PAFL clear, scene automation, talkback and library access.
 
The 22-segment meters will indicate the 3 main mixing levels. PAFL signal overrides LR meters accompanied by a PAFL-active indicator. The ¼” and 3.5 mm jacks for PAFL headphone output, plus an analog output level control. The mixer includes a 2-track recording and playback system for optional USB drives. The surface has 2 USB ports on the front, one of which is dedicated to recording/playback. The surface provides 6 high-quality XLR inputs capable of handling microphone or line signals, with remote-controlled analog gain adjustable in 1-dB steps, a 20-dB PAD, and phantom power. It will also need to provide 6 line outputs, 1 AES-3 stereo XLR input with SRC and 1 AES-3 stereo XLR output with SRC. An option to bypass sample rate conversion on the digital inputs or outputs is provided. A 128-channel I/O port for an optional digital interface module is also provided. Optional interface modules include: MADI, EtherSound, Dante, Waves SoundGrid and ACE.
 
An Ethercon port is provided for connection to the rack engine via the Allen & Heath gigaACE protocol.This connection will need to carry more than 300×300 channels of uncompressed 96kHz audio, control data, and tunnelling of third-party Ethernet traffic.An Ethercon port is provided for I/O expansion via an audio connection carrying up to 32×32 channels of uncompressed 96kHz audio. There is a range of optional expansion racks (sold individually) and including a modular rack with 8-channel card options, including analog or digital I/O. The unit has a BNC connector for wordclock input and output.A pair of RJ45 sockets for Gigabit Ethernet network connections to laptops or other control systems. The unit provides a fixed power supply that accepts AC mains voltages of 100~240V, talkback, 110W max via a grounded 3-pin IEC male connector.A rocker switch near the mains input to isolate the unit from the incoming power supply.A password protection option is provided for multiple user access with different levels of system access and permissions.
