Tiffen 4 x 5.65″ Black Glimmerglass 1/2 Cinema Filter is a beauty filter with two functions: to change the appearance of the image and to show a more sparkling appearance when viewed from the front. In fact, it produces bright reflections and reduces contrast for a more ethereal look. The filter itself, removes sharpness by helping to soften skin details, imperfections and wrinkles. In addition, the Tiffen 4 x 5.6″ filter maintains a clear, overall focused image. The density of the Black Glimmerglass 1/2 filter is softer than 1/4, but less than 1.
The filter is made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000 of an inch.
