Less than 3 cm thick and equipped with sophisticated lens technology, this lens features an MSC focusing mechanism to offer almost completely silent operation. A specific electronic function automatically extends and retracts the lens when the camera is on or off. In addition, the two-stage variable electronic zoom provides smooth and even zoom control, especially useful when shooting HD movies. An auto-aperture protective lens cap is available as an additional accessory. It’s a great travel lens-in fact, you can shoot from wide-angle landscapes to portraits to architecture-without lugging around multiple lenses.
