Kit OM-SYSTEM OM-5 camera with M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-40mm F2.8 PRO II – silver body features 5-axis image stabilisation in a compact body measuring 125.3 x 85.2 x 49.7 mm (WxHxD) and weighing 414 g (including lens). It offers up to 6.5 stops of image stabilisation which, when used with a compatible lens, increases to 7.54 thanks to 5-axis Sync IS. Powerful image stabilisation allows you to shoot at slow shutter speeds in places where a tripod cannot be used, making this camera the perfect travel companion.
Featuring the popular Live MOS sensor with 20.37 million effective pixels and a high-performance TruePic IX processor, this model offers natural image rendition with low noise and high image quality even when using high sensitivities. The OM-5 features an on-chip Contrast Detection AF sensor with 121 all cross-type points for focusing at different points in the frame to offer maximum freedom in frame composition and focus accuracy. The Starry Sky AF function enables high-precision autofocusing to facilitate astrophotography, which was previously difficult.
The OM SYSTEM OM-5 features a sealing system that guarantees IP531-class dust and water resistance and frost resistance down to -10°C, the same level of weather protection as the OM SYSTEM OM-1 flagship model. Thanks to this design, users can concentrate on photographic opportunities even in difficult conditions, without worrying about ruining their equipment by sudden rain, snow or water drops. The camera is also equipped with the SSWF (Supersonic Wave Filter), which significantly reduces the problems created by dust and dirt settling on the sensor when changing lenses, making this model excellent for photographing on the move and for anyone who needs to change lenses outdoors.
This model mounts the BLS-50 battery and allows you to use the supplied USB-AC adapter to charge the battery inside the camera. Computational photographic functions allow users to easily take those photos that typically require special equipment or image editing software.
