Canon EOS R3 – mirrorless digital camera allows you to take sports and journalistic as well as wildlife shots like never before. A new level of intuitiveness: to select your subject, just look at it. A stacked backlit sensor can capture the action at 1/64,000 and power continuous shooting from 30 fps up to 195 fps. Focus point selection via the eye intelligently recognizes and tracks subjects while shooting, so it is ideal for sports, nature and photojournalism photography.
The EOS R3 captures fleeting moments from 30 fps up to 195 fps, revealing details not visible to the naked eye. The camera’s stacked backlit sensor is so fast that it allows photographers to use an electronic shutter to capture rapid movement without worrying about “rolling shutter” distortion. Enjoy a maximum shutter speed of 1/64,000 sec plus 30 fps shooting with simultaneous AF/AE tracking for up to 420 frames shooting in Raw. In addition, with custom high-speed continuous shooting, the EOS R3 can shoot with a custom frame rate of up to 195 fps and capture incredible detail even with fast-moving subjects. Up to 50 frames can be captured in a single continuous shot, and images can be stored in JPEG, HEIF or RAW format. To help balance daylight and flash in bright conditions or take photos of fast-moving subjects, flash synchronization is now possible when using the camera’s electronic shutter, either with Canon Speedlite or third-party studio flash units.
Thanks to our futuristic Eye Control autofocus technology, the EOS R3 can focus in any direction you are looking. This unprecedented control over autofocus enables the camera to react as fast as you do, allowing you to respond quickly to constant scene changes. Using artificial intelligence with deep-learning technology and thousands of real-world images, EOS R3 recognizes people, animals and vehicles accurately and confidently, wherever they are in the frame. The EOS R3 is a professional hybrid capable of capturing broadcast-quality cinematic video and sensational photographs. Equipped with features that enable filmmakers to reach new levels of creativity, the camera can capture 4K and 6K RAW footage with oversampling internally on a CFexpress card. Canon Log 3 offers a wider dynamic range and greater color grading possibilities. What’s more, the same object recognition system available to photographers is also available to videographers, so you can follow objects as they move through the frame, keeping them perfectly in focus even while shooting. Connectivity is critical for sports and news photographers. The EOS R3 uses the wired LAN port and 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi to communicate with computer networks, laptops, and mobile devices for quick and easy image sharing and remote control of the camera.
The camera rugged magnesium alloy body is sealed to be as protected from dust and water as our legendary EOS-1D series cameras. You’ll have the confidence to keep shooting in any condition. EOS R3 It is powered by a high-capacity LP-E19 battery. EF lenses will work exactly as you expect, thanks to a range of high-quality adapters, which can also add additional features, such as a bezel or drop-in filters. The camera offers a wide range of controls, where the multi-control and smart controller can be operated with the thumb. Three customizable dials on the camera, plus a control dial on each RF-mounted lens, allow you to adjust shutter speed, aperture, ISO and exposure compensation without moving the camera away from your face. There is also an instant 1.6x digital teleconverter device at the push of a button for extended range, particularly useful for immediate cropping with the reduced need for post-processing.
