SmallRig Cage 4138 for FX3/FX30 is designed to protect the camera and provide mounting points for accessories. The modular cage consists of a NATO rail and a U-shaped cage. The NATO rail is attached on top by two 1/4″-20 screws and removed to allow installation of the original XLR top handle; the U-shaped cage is attached by 1/4″-20 screws on both sides and at the bottom to prevent twisting, with a cushion against scratches. There is a hinge arm on the battery door that fits around the curve of the camera for a better pinky grip experience. A dedicated HDMI cable clamp protects the interfaces to ensure stable signal transmission. Among the various accessory mounts, 1/4″-20 holes support Magic Arm 2070; 3/8″-16 ARRI locating holes connect top handle 2165C or monitor stand 2903B; top NATO rail supports top handle 3322 and left side handle 2187B; 1/4″-20 positioning holes in the upper left quarter and left side connect the 3598 rod clamp to follow focus; two 1/4″-20 holes on the right side allow secure mounting on a quick-release plate for vertical shooting; the cold shoe mount supports microphone, LED light; and the QD port at the bottom fits the QD strap. An Arca-Swiss quick release plate at the bottom can directly connect DJI RS 2 / RSC 2 / RS 3 / RS 3 Pro or quick release plate (pad to increase height) for DJI RS 2 / RSC 2 gimbal and Arca 3154 type quick release plate. Both sides and bottom have holes for wrist strap 3848 and shoulder strap PSC2428. Also included is a magnetic wrench for easy assembly and disassembly.
