Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K is the next-generation 6K digital cinema camera with a high-resolution 6048 x 4032 full frame HDR sensor, native dual ISO, L-mount, CFexpress recording, and direct recording to USB-C disks. It offers OLPF for optimized detail management, and captures both 12-bit Blackmagic RAW files to create fabulous cinematic images and real-time H.264 proxy files. The new Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K produces accurate skin tones and rich, vibrant colors. It integrates a large 6K 24 x 36mm full frame sensor with wide dynamic range, a super versatile L lens mount, and a built-in low-pass filter custom-designed for the sensor. It also has CFexpress card slots and is compatible with Pocket Cinema Camera accessories. And for working outdoors and on the cloud, the camera records with the bit depth of Blackmagic RAW and proxies in H.264. It has all the professional functions for making feature films, TV programs and documentaries. It takes advantage of the same features as more expensive digital cameras to capture intense colors, minute details and an even wider dynamic range between the brightest lights and deepest shadows. Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K boasts a huge full frame sensor with a native resolution of 6048 x 4032. It is three times wider than a Super 35 sensor and enables shallow depth-of-field shooting and the use of cropping-free anamorphic lenses for an immersive cinematic look. In any lighting condition, in direct sunlight or semi-darkness, the 13 stops of dynamic range and dual native ISO up to 25600 generate magnificent low-noise images.You can also film at 36 fps with full sensor resolution or 120 fps in window mode. Thanks to the large sensor area you can work in a variety of film formats and aspect ratios without sacrificing image quality.Using the full sensor area gives a unique 3:2 open gate image that you can reframe in post production. The large sensor allows you to work in 6:5 anamorphic without cropping, and achieve widescreen images with more detail and higher resolution than previously possible. Or you can use the classic Super 35 window to instantly create a close-up version of your footage that perfectly matches open gate footage.
Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K comes with an advanced L-mount designed to accommodate full frame sensors while ensuring compatibility with modern and vintage optics. With a large diameter of 51.6mm, the L mount supports the latest full frame optics from brands such as Leica, Panasonic and Sigma. Plus, thanks to the flange distance of only 20mm, you can easily add adapters for a variety of lens mounts without affecting image quality. Imagine working on a project with modern high-speed lenses for sharp, accurate shots and then switching to costume drama with vintage photographic optics! Thanks to the L-mount you can use any type of lens for limitless creative choices! The distance between the lightest and darkest parts of the image is called dynamic range and is measured in stops. Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K has as many as 13 stops of dynamic range and retains more detail in the brightest and darkest areas of the image than normal camcorders. The camera comes with DaVinci Resolve Studio for total creative control of exposure and detail recovery during color correction. In the digital format, ISO measures the sensitivity of the sensor to light. The higher the ISO, the greater the sensitivity to light, so you can shoot in natural light even at night! With dual native ISO up to 25600, Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K minimizes graininess and noise in images while maintaining the full dynamic range of the sensor. ISO 400 is ideal for shooting using set lights, while ISO 3200 lends itself to dimly lit environments. Gain sets automatically as you adjust the ISO, so you can capture fabulous images even when there’s no time to set up lights. Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K films in all standard resolutions and frame rates from HD to 4K DCI, and even in 6K. You can even shoot 24.6 megapixel. Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K shoots up to 36 fps in 3:2 open gate at 6048 x 4032 or 60 fps at 6048 x 2520 in 2.4:1 and 60 fps at 4096 x 2160 in 4K DCI. For higher frame rates you can set the sensor in window mode and get up to 100 fps at 2112 x 1184 Super 16. You also have the ability to work in anamorphic 6:5 at much higher resolutions than other cameras using anamorphic lenses in 4838 x 4032 4.8K at 24 fps. Made from a lightweight composite of carbon fiber and polycarbonate, it offers a multifunction handle that puts controls for Rec, ISO, WB and shutter angle at your fingertips. As an advanced digital camera, it is equipped with a sensor designed to reduce thermal noise, providing sharper shadows and higher ISO. In addition, the large 5-inch LCD display enables perfect focus in 6K resolution. There is also a removable battery door, four anti-shock microphones, a durable lens mount, and a built-in speaker. The ergonomically designed multifunction grip puts essential ISO, white balance and shutter controls within easy reach. At the index finger is the thumbwheel for quickly adjusting the aperture. Other controls are also immediately accessible, so you don’t waste time searching through complicated menus on a small screen as with DSLRs.

Blackmagic RAW is highly optimized, multithreaded, and compatible with multiple CPU cores and GPU acceleration to work with Apple Metal, CUDA, and OpenCL. It then produces images with unprecedented resolution and quality to be used for color, keying, compositing, reframing, stabilization, and tracking in HD, 4K, or 6K. These files work on all operating systems, and cards and disks can be formatted in HFS+ for Mac and ExFAT for Windows. Blackmagic RAW eliminates quality issues by ensuring magnificent images rich in detail and color throughout the entire production pipeline, from shooting to editing, color and mastering. In addition, Blackmagic RAW files contain camera settings as metadata, so you can set ISO, white balance and exposure and then leave them out during editing without loss of quality! These files are small and fast, so they are easy to manage. Blackmagic OS is an advanced intuitive and user-friendly operating system based on the latest technology. All functions operate independently and power-up time is instantaneous. It offers the same controls and menus as other Blackmagic Design cameras, so you can easily switch between them on set. Among other functions, it offers focus and exposure tools, 3D LUT, HDR, metadata entry, timecode, and settings for Blackmagic RAW! External recorders are no longer needed because Blackmagic Cinema Cameras record high-fidelity professional audio! In fact, they house two mini XLR inputs with 48V phantom power to connect professional microphones, for example lapels and booms. With these mini XLRs you can record two separate audio tracks with two microphones and without an external mixer. The four internal microphones have minimal background noise and are anti-shock and windproof for flawless audio capture in any location.
