The Blackmagic ATEM Production Studio 4K switcher for live production connects to 8 SD, HD and Ultra HD cameras, disk recorders and computers, and manages a broadcast-quality workflow. It offers all the features of a professional switcher including colour key, transitions, multimedia archive, secondary compositions, audio mixer, Multi View display, and 6G-SDI and HDMI 4K video connections.

The Blackmagic ATEM production Studio 4K switcher for live productions features a reference video input for synchronising the switcher with other equipment using tri-level or Blackburst Sync. Each input also has its own frame synchroniser, allowing cameras that do not have Genlock to be used. The switcher provides six video outputs that are always active. It features an SDI output and an HDMI Program output, both of which can provide SD/HD/UHD 4K, with an SD/HD/UHD 4K Aux output that can provide a clean program feed with no downstream effects as primary outputs.

The Blackmagic ATEM Production Studio 4K switcher for live productions features one upstream and two downstream keyers for real-time Ultra HD effects and composition, with 10-bit processing. The two downstream keyers allow the use from two graphics/logos/titles to up to twenty graphics stored in a wide variety of formats. Audio output is incorporated into the SDI and HDMI streams, as are balanced audio outputs.

Illuminated front panel buttons allow local selection of the Aux output, while a 2″ LCD screen integrated into the front of the unit allows the Aux output to be viewed for instant confirmation. Two multiview outputs allow you to see the programme, preview, six live inputs and two graphic channels on one screen at the same time. An SDI and HDMI connector links the multiview output to HD monitors. The Blackmagic ATEM Production Studio 4K switcher for live production uses an Ethernet connection to interface with control surfaces such as the optional ATEM 1 M/E and 2 M/E Broadcast panels. You can also control the switcher using the included ATEM control software from a Mac or Windows computer via Ethernet. You can control all the switcher’s production settings and import graphics directly from your computer. The Blackmagic ATEM Production Studio 4K switcher has a height of 1 RU and comes with built-in rack mount attachments for mounting in a production road case or post production facility.
