Specifications
There are two ways to use the new Atomos Ninja Ultra 5″ 4K HDMI monitor and recorder for DSLRs and mirrorless cameras. On its own, it is the most powerful Ninja ever. Add in the convenient Atomos Connect and you have access to incredibly fast and productive cloud workflows such as Camera to Cloud and Atomos Edit. You can even edit your project in the cloud and post it to social media minutes after you resume the action. Choose Ninja Ultra if you are not yet ready for the cloud. If you want to get started with cloud workflows instead, Ninja Ultra and Atomos Connect (not included) are the perfect combination.
Ninja Ultra records full quality files in ProRes RAW up to 4K 60p and simultaneously records HD 60p in H.265. It is the best of both worlds. Increase your productivity by archiving the final copy in ProRes RAW ready for the post-production workflow and use the copy in H.265 for camera-to-cloud tasks. Previously, camera to cloud relied on matching file names with hero and proxy files made by AtomOS. Now, through collaboration with ARRI, Canon, RED and Sony, Atomos’ C2C files are matched to the original in-camera file names (OCFs). This provides a unified process when conforming C2C files or SSD proxies in editing with camera files.
Ninja Ultra can capture HDMI RAW inputs up to 8K at 30fps and simultaneously output a standard video signal viewable via HDMI for devices that do not support RAW formats. With a versatile 5.2-inch SuperAtom IPS touchscreen for clear images and easy accessibility to AtomOS features, Ninja Ultra has a new operating system and user interface. Ninja Ultra includes comprehensive monitoring tools to help you achieve the perfect composition and exposure in every shot. The easy-to-use yet powerful tools include waveform, focus peaking, false color, zoom controls, custom LUTs, and frame guides. Ninja Ultra’s new AtomOS 11 software is easy to update with new features and versions, as well as support for new cameras.
