The Allen & Heath GX4816 audio expander 48×16 I/O for SQ / Avantis / dLive / AHM is a rack-mountable remote audio device for Allen & Heath mixing systems. The remote audio unit features 48 XLR inputs with individually configured phantom power and 16 XLR outputs. Phantom power LED indicators are provided for each input jack on the remote audio rack. The unit operates at a sampling rate of 96 kHz. An Ethercon connector is provided to carry digital audio and control signals to and from the mixing system.
Two additional Ethercon connectors are provided for further expansion with Allen & Heath compatible remote audio devices. One of these ports is compatible with Allen & Heath’s ME personal mixing system when the device is used with an Allen & Heath Avantis or SQ digital mixer. The Ethernet protocol provides control to the remote preamplifier, and all mic preamps are callable from the digital mixing system. The unit’s firmware is automatically updated when connected to the system. The remote audio rack has a built-in power supply that accepts AC mains voltages of 100~240V, 50/60 Hz, 80W through a grounded 3-pin IEC male connector on the front panel.
