The Hoya CinePRO HD Black Mist 1/8 77 mm filter is a Black Mist type diffusion filter with a cinematic effect, designed for videographers, filmmakers, and photographers seeking a discrete filmic look. The 1/8 grade is the lightest diffusion in the CinePRO Black Mist range: it gently reduces digital sharpness, slightly softens skin texture, and adds a soft glow to highlights while maintaining detail and contrast. In the Martcom catalog, the Hoya Black Mist 1/8 77 mm filter is the choice for those working with high-resolution sensors who want to add atmosphere to the image without losing definition. The bloom around light sources remains soft and natural, without excessive haloing. The scratch-resistant Schott B270i optical glass is mounted in an aircraft-grade anodized aluminum frame, which is lightweight and durable. The coating is water and scratch resistant. The front thread allows for combining other filters, such as NDs or polarizers, in a stacking configuration. The Hoya CinePRO HD line also includes the Black Mist 1/4 version, suitable for those desiring a more pronounced diffusion effect. The manufacturer offers the 1/8 grade in filter diameters of 49, 52, 67, 77, 82, and 95 mm, covering a wide range of photo and video lenses. This is a cinematic black mist filter with a 77 mm filter diameter: before choosing the size, check the filter diameter of the lens on which it will be mounted. Choose the correct size and purchase the Hoya Black Mist 1/8 filter in the 77 mm version.
