Sony RMT-VP2 Bluetooth Wireless Remote Commander, 10 m Range

The Sony RMT-VP2 is a Bluetooth wireless remote commander designed for remote control of compatible Sony cameras, allowing you to take photos and record videos without touching the camera. The Sony RMT-VP2 remote communicates via Bluetooth, providing a more stable connection than infrared even in the presence of obstacles or sunlight, with 360° coverage and a range of approximately 10 m. The range is measured by Sony under specific conditions and may vary based on metal obstacles, people, reflective surfaces, and signal status. The remote supports shooting scenarios such as commemorative photos and shots with a fixed composition. The front panel integrates the shutter button, the MOVIE button to start and stop recording, the AF-ON button, the C1 button, and the ZOOM/FOCUS button, along with the ZOOM/FOCUS/LOCK switch, for one-handed video or photo capture. If the camera features AF-ON or C1 buttons, pressing the corresponding button on the remote recalls the function assigned on the camera, allowing for customized controls based on shooting needs. An LED indicator lights up or flashes to indicate remote operation and camera status. Measuring approximately 32.8 x 98.0 x 12.2 mm and weighing 32 g, the remote is compact and designed to resist dust and moisture, though total protection is not guaranteed. Since it requires no cables or receivers connected to the camera, the camera body terminal cover can remain closed. In addition to Sony cameras, the remote can be used with a selection of Xperia smartphones. Before purchasing, please check the list of supported cameras and smartphones provided by Sony.
