The FC PowerController (BT-BCS-48V3.5mm) measures 130.6×135.5×204.5mm and weighs 1,61kg. It features a quick-release plate on the back, allowing it to be mounted on a light stand using an optional quick-release clamp. It can also be easily hung using the integrated rope. The FC PowerController’s housing is made of aluminium alloy and features three aluminium alloy heat sinks and an integrated silent fan. The FC PowerController can function as a dual V-mount mobile charger, charging one or two 14.4-14.8 V or 26 V batteries simultaneously when connected to AC power via the included power adapter. Charged V-mount batteries allow the FC PowerController to power Nanlite& FC-300B/500B/500C lights on the move.

The maximum power output of each individual lamp varies depending on the number and voltage of the V-mount batteries used. For example, two 26V high-performance V-lock batteries are required to operate the FC-500C at full power. Using only one 14.4 V battery on the same lamp limits power to 30%. If an AC power source is available, the lights can also be powered from the mains without any problems: in the absence of power, they can easily switch to battery operation. The FC PowerController offers cable control for the FC-300B/500B/500C lights at a distance of up to 3 metres, using the integrated 2’ display and the two dials and buttons for parameter adjustment. This allows the lights to be operated even when mounted in inaccessible positions.
