The Allen & Heath DX012 Audio expander with 12 XLR outputs for SQ, Avantis, dLive mixers and AHM processors is a 1U rack-mountable remote output device for Allen & Heath mixing systems. The remote audio rack provides 12 XLR outputs, configurable as 12 analog, 8 analog + 4 stereo AES or 4 analog + 8 stereo AES. It connects to the mixing system via a single Cat. AES cable. The AES outputs are capable of 44.1, 48, 88.2 and 96 kHz sample rates. Two Ethercon DX connectors are provided to carry digital audio. The Allen & Heath DX audio expander is capable of operating in “redundant” or “cascade” mode. In “redundant” mode, the unit provides a fully redundant connection to compatible mixing systems. In “cascade” mode, Allen & Heath DX012 allows two units to be connected in series. The unit’s firmware is automatically updated when it connects to the digital mixing system. The remote audio rack has a built-in power supply that accepts AC mains voltages of 100~240V, 50/60 Hz, 35W max via a grounded 3-pin IEC male connector on the rear panel. The rack ears are detachable and reversible so that the unit can be mounted with both sides facing the front of the rack. The recommended operating temperature for The Allen & Heath DX audio expander is between 0° and 40°c.
