The Allen & Heath fiberACE 128×128 channels card for dLive and Avantis can be used as a converter, to replace the dLive MixRack with the Surface.
The Allen & Heath fiberACE 128×128 channels card for dLive and Avantis enables a 128x128ch 96kHz point-to-point link between dLive or Avantis systems over CAT cable or multimode optical fiber. It can also be used as a converter, to replace the dLive MixRack to Surface connection with optical fiber. It allows very low latency and cable redundancy without any audio dropout. It can also transfer dLive/Avantis control data over the same connection, for example to enable control of two systems via a single laptop. The fiberACE card offers an ideal solution for digital split and audio distribution in large events and installations, with cable lengths of up to 500 m and industry-standard connectors. fiberACE is a truly plug ‘n play protocol, so no computer is required to set up fiberACE connections. Simply connect the cable between two dLive / Avantis systems and set up patch and clock settings directly on the mixer.
