Zoom F8N Pro Handheld Broadcast Digital Recorder 8 Channels and 10 Tracks offers low-noise preamplifiers, time-code compatibility, extensive built-in metering, and dual redundant 24-bit / 192 kHz SDXC cards. The F8N’s advanced look-ahead limiter ensures that you’ll never lose a great take to distorted audio. Multiple power sources include internal and external batteries plus AC, and the F8N also goes beyond most high-end field recorders with Bluetooth remote control via a free iOS app. Volume, sharpness and immersion are equally important for proper field monitoring. That’s why updates have been made to the F8n’s headphone processing to maximize all of them. A digital gain boost has been added to minimize ambient bleed, which can cause combo filtering resulting in poor audio quality. Signals can be freely routed to the left and/or right headphone channels, pre or post-fader. In addition, the headphone output can be switched to mono. Headphone warning sounds for low battery, recording start/stop or recording errors can also be set.
