Tamron 11-20mm F/2.8 Di III-A RXD Sony E-mount is an ultra wide-angle fast aperture zoom lens for mirrorless cameras. It features the world’s first maximum f/2.8 aperture for Sony E-mount APS-C mirrorless cameras in this category and has a compact, lightweight design. This ultra-wide lens is especially suited for landscape, astrophotography and architectural shots. Its bright f/2.8 constant maximum aperture rounds out this range and offers greater control over depth of field along with better low-light performance.
The optical design of this Tamron 11-20mm F/2.8 incorporates an XLD element, two LD elements and two glass molded aspherical elements to produce a highly corrected image with reduced chromatic aberrations and color fringing for improved color clarity and accuracy. A responsive RXD stepper motor enables fast, near-silent autofocus performance to suit stills and video.
In addition, the Tamron 11-20mm F/2.8 Di III-A RXD’s maximum aperture produces a shallow depth of field that creates soft background details. Moisture-resistant construction protects the lens in inclement conditions, and a fluorine coating on the front element of the lens protects against dust, dirt and smudges.
