XD Linear motor for lightning-fast AF. Lightweight lens with excellent weight distribution. Constant DMF allows MF to be enabled by turning the focus ring, even during AF-C shots. Optical stabilization is built-in, and the new Mode 3 uses a sophisticated algorithm for optimal stabilization of dynamic sports action and easy framing. Four lock buttons and a focus ring with MF with linear response enhance its versatility.
