Add to cartThe 24.2 MP Sony Alpha 6400 APS-C 24.2 MP Sony E-mount camera unleashes your creative potential with top-notch performance and advanced features such as Real Time Eye AF with AI technology, new high-precision Real Time Tracking, and high-speed continuous shooting and shooting in 4K HDR (HLG).
The A6400 camera’s innovative AF quickly and reliably detects the subject’s position and performs motion tracking to keep it in focus at all times with 425 phase detection AF points, densely distributed to cover about 84% of the image area to help you capture the subject.
With the Sony Alpha 6400 you have the best in photography: compact size and light weight, but superior performance and full-frame model-like range of features. You can use the Sony Alpha 6400 for photos or videos, creative compositions or selfies, with guaranteed beautiful images to share right away.
The Sony Alpha 6400’s display is touch LCD that tilts 180° for easier selfies and bottom-up and top-down shots while the 24.2-megapixel Exmor CMOS sensor offers outstanding light sensitivity.
Silent continuous shooting
The camera offers a continuous shooting speed of up to 11 fps with AF/AE tracking, providing fast processing and a large memory buffer that allows shooting up to 116 images in standard JPEG format or 46 in compressed RAW format in continuous sequence. In addition, it is possible to shoot in silent mode at up to 8 fps, which is particularly useful in situations that require absolute silence, such as during live performances. In this mode, AF/AE tracking remains active, including Real Time Eye AF and Real Time Tracking, providing a versatile and discreet solution for a variety of photographic situations.
Advanced focus functions
The optimized Real Time Eye AF function enables accurate eye detection, maintaining stable focus on subjects even in motion, with part of the face hidden, backlit or tilted downward when AF-C is set. In addition, the Real Time Eye AF for Animals feature provides fast and accurate detection of animal eyes, improving focus in complex situations, such as when shooting wildlife or pets. For added ease of use, the camera also features a touch tracking option that allows subject selection directly on the display, automatically initiating tracking in both photo and video modes to ensure accurate and dynamic framing.
Crisp images and natural details
The camera delivers sharper images even in low light thanks to advanced noise elimination, which ensures clean images even in dark scenes. Native ISO sensitivity goes up to 32,000, with a maximum extension up to ISO 102,400 for stills, while noise reduction is particularly effective in the frequently used medium and high sensitivity ranges. In addition, the 24.2-megapixel APS-C sensor, featuring copper wiring and an optimized circuit structure, contributes to more efficient light management. Combined with the improved image processor, this provides superior resolution and more natural rendering of details.
Smart features
The 3-inch, 180-degree tilting LCD monitor offers not only a clear preview of the scene, but also quick access to many camera functions via its intuitive touch screen. The touch pad function allows you to easily move the focus area while looking through the viewfinder by simply sliding your finger across the display. In addition, the touch focus and shutter make it easy to select the focus point, even at the edge of the frame, and shoot with a simple touch. Finally, the touch tracking function instantly activates Real Time Tracking, keeping the subject focused in both photo and video modes.
