The ARRI-standard dovetail base allows you to mount the baseplate on a variety of tripods and camera rigs. There are also several 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 threads for accessories such as other quick release plates and dovetails.
A detachable riser pad is included to install between the base and the top quick release mount to ensure the lens is at the proper height for a support or adapter when mounted on 15mm rods. The dual 15mm LWS rod clamp in the base fastens separately available rods with easy-to-use thumb-lever locks, and it allows you to mount optional accessories such as a lens support, matte box, or follow focus motors onto your rig.
