The versatile Sennheiser MD 441 U supercardioid dynamic microphone is a high-precision dynamic supercardioid microphone, often recognised for offering sound quality similar to that of a condenser microphone. Its frequency response ranges from 30 Hz to 20 kHz, with a sensitivity of 1.8 mV/Pa ±2 dB and a nominal impedance of 200 Ω. The capsule is mounted on a spring system to significantly reduce handling noise, while an anti-hum coil attenuates electrical interference or humming.
It also incorporates an internal pop filter to dampen explosive consonants such as ‘P’ and ‘B’.
